Introducing Polo in the Valley
Polo, which is often referred to as the “Sport of Kings”, is the oldest team sport in the world. Originating in China and Persia approximately 2,000 years ago, polo was originally a training exercise for elite cavalry units.
Since the 19th century the popularity of the sport has grown immensely amongst players and spectators alike and the modern game is played all over the world. Major Australian polo events attract sell-out crowds and are “not to be missed” social occasions for thousands of people.
Polo in the Valley is a great opportunity to witness all the exhilaration and excitement of the sport and the skills of exceptional horsemen working in harmony with their fast and agile horses in a unique and beautiful environment.
Polo in the Valley will be held at Duncraig Stud, the private estate of organisers Peter and Debra Prendiville in the Swan Valley.
